Nineteen sixty two, the year rock and roll came to life. The Beatles, band on the run, English rock group, also know as Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The group brought rock and roll to life gave it a meaning. Music was the way to for people to listen and understand music was a way of communication and Paul McCartney, one of the four who started it. Does he still have what it takes to be a rock star up to today? In 1972 McCartney added another Guitarist Henry McCullough and another drummer Geoff Britton to the musical group. In 1973 Band on the Run recorded by the McCartney’s was considered as the great comeback for the formal Beatle topping charts in the U.S. eventually landing in the UK (â€Å"Paul McCartney†). McCartney while on tour with Wings in Japan, was arrested and spent ten days in jail for possession of marijuana, but in the end he was let off with no charges. After the death on John Lennon on December 8, 1980 McCartney ended the musical group Wings. That was also the year McCartney released his solo album. Nineteen eighty-two was the year McCartney got his big hit, â€Å"Ebony and Ivory†. McCartney had many number one hits and great albums up to 2007 to which his last one was released (â€Å"Paul McCartney†). The 1980’s were good years for McCartney. He appeared in â€Å"The Girl is Mine† a Michael Jackson hit. Also in 1989 McCartney went out on his first world tour since the wings over ten years ago and broke the attendance record in many countries. McCartney, in 1996 was working w ith BBC producers for a Beatles documentary when Paul, George, and Ringo met and began talking about it, that was the first time together since the death of John Lennon.
